About Clansthal Beach
Clansthal beach is nestled between Umkomaas and Scottburgh, just 40 kilometres outside of Durban. This long, secluded stretch of soft, white sand beach is tranquil with few people and plenty of fish for catching. There are no lifeguards at Clansthal, but you can walk along the shore to the adjacent Green Point, a great surf break, or to Scottburgh for a swim. There are a number of nature reserves close by as well as the famous Oribi Gorge.
