About Ramsgate South Beach
Ramsgate South Beach lies at the end of a beautiful estuary. Indigenous subtropical vegetation and a park-like area fringe the wide, sandy beach.
Numerous interpretative signboards provide interesting information about the ecology and local environmental issues.
Pedal boats and recreational activities are on offer in the estuary area (no swimming in the estuary). Restaurants are situated nearby and there is a whale-watching site opposite the beach. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the year.
