About Statue of Liberty
Originally a gift from the French, this colossal copper, wrought-iron and steel structure, which overlooks Manhattan, has since become an icon of freedom and America itself. A National Monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lady Liberty attracts over 3 million tourists a year, many of whom opt to ascend to her crown for dazzling views of the city.
