About Brooklyn Bridge
The first steel-wire suspension bridge ever created, the Brooklyn Bridge connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn via the East River. Completed in 1883, it’s one of the oldest suspension bridges in the US, its distinctive neo-Gothic design one of the indelible symbols of the city. It’s free to cross for both vehicles and pedestrians, making it a favourite photo stop for visitors.
