About Ellis Island
Once the US’s biggest immigration station, Ellis Island now hosts a museum of immigration, and forms part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument. Home to a library named after one of its most famous inspectees, Bob Hope, the island falls into both New York and New Jersey, and has featured in a number of films like X-Men and Hitch.
