Oppiedek Pub and Bistro is in a prime location overlooking the Gansbaai harbour. Oppiedek has the most envied deck in Gansbaai; harbour commotions and stunning sunsets have been appreciated from this deck.
Oppiedek has been around for as long as anyone can remember and is a straight forward, casual, come-as-you-are kind of place. Whether you are barefoot and full of sand or dressed in heels, everyone is welcome!
The kitchen serves affordable and simple meals – great tasting and good for your wallet. The staff are locals themselves and regular bar and food specials are had to ensure the whole town ends up at Oppiedek. The perfect time to go to is late afternoon, about an hour before sunset. Have a cold drink on the summer’s day and share a snack off the menu.
Oppiedek Pub and Bistro often throws themed party nights and the entire place has a fun night together. A great view and affordable drinks and meals, there isn’t much more you ask for on holiday.

From Hermanus:• Head east on the R43 and travel for about 38 km;
• Once you have entered Gansbaai, turn right onto Voortrekker Street;
• Take the second left onto Church Street;
• Take the first right onto Hawe Weg and your destination will be on the left-hand side.
