We were not expecting much, but were PLEASANTLY surprised at the incredibly good food and service. The skaapstertjies were so soft and tasteful and the afval/tripe reminded me of how my Grandmother used to cook it. This restaurant comes highly recommended by us for anyone wanting a hearty meal after the long road and value for money! Already booked for our return trip.

We visited Plattelander some years back on our way to Jeffreys. This year we are going to Stellenbosch and will definitely stay over in Colesberg just to have dinner again. Very good food, excellent hosts and rustic atmosphere.
