Negombo

The coastal city of Negombo is home to Sri Lanka’s main airport, Bandaranaike International, and a 60-mile long canal dating back to the Dutch colonial era in the 1600s. Traditional outriggers and modern craft navigate this waterway for daily trade while canal tours offer sightseers a unique view of Negombo all the way up north to Puttalam or south to Colombo.
