Willow Point is situated on a glorious 12-hectare private, nature- and water-fronted site on the Swart River and Swartvlei lagoon, along the lake district between George and Knysna, and is the perfect self-catering accommodation for groups of friends or families looking to get away.
The double-storey main house has 180-degree views from the main deck and an open-plan kitchen, living room, and dining areas. The house can accommodate 4 adults and 4 children, and in addition, there are 2 2-bedroom timber cabins for an additional 8 guests. The main house can be rented out separately with the cabins as an add-on to the main house, but the cabins are not rented out on their own.
The spacious main house is split between 2 floors, with 3 en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor and an open-plan kitchen, living room, and dining room on the first floor. The length of the upstairs opens to a 4-meter-wide deck through sliding doors, making it a perfect space for inside and outside living.
There are 2 equal-sized en-suite bedrooms with sliding doors opening onto the deck. One of the rooms has a queen-size 4-poster bed, and the other has a super-king-size bed, which can be converted into twin beds. Behind a screen, an outdoor bath and shower are on the deck, under the canopy of a milkwood tree. The third bedroom has 2 bunk beds for 4 children, an en-suite shower and basin, and access to the guest restroom by the stairs. All rooms have floor fans, and a laundry room is available.
Each of the timber cabins has 2 bedrooms with floor fans and shares a bathroom with a shower, basin, and loo in between the bedrooms. The beds can be made up of a king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds on request. The access is up some steps to a landing, and the cabins are 20 metres from the main house.
The first-floor open-plan living area in the main house was designed to capture the outstanding views of the site overlooking the indigenous vegetation, river, and lagoon. Large sliding doors open onto a partially covered outside deck. The inside has seating around a dining room table for 14. The kitchen is fully equipped with Le Creuset appliances and cookware. The kitchen island has a gas hob and oven and 3 bar stools. In the cosy living area is a wall-mounted television with access to Netflix. Wi-Fi access is available.
Outside are some comfortable chairs, a sofa, and either a gas braai or a Weber Kettle braai.
The hill and floodplain sites are thick with indigenous vegetation, and the house commands elevated 180-degree views over the water.
