Whistlewood House and Garden Cottage is a beautiful Historic Victorian Guest House and Cottage situated in the heart of Walmer, a bustling business and residential area in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha.

The main house is one of the oldest farmsteads in Walmer and is blessed with high ceilings, stained glass windows, and double-backed fireplaces and has been restored to offer a unique blend of modern Africana and vintage accommodations entwined with historic charm to offer guests a memorable stay. Being nestled in leafy Walmer and close to the Baakens Valley, the landscaped Gardens are rich in Bird life, and offer a relaxing environment to swim or simply read a good book.

Whistlewood House and Garden Cottage is ideally placed for inter-school sports events, being close to Grey College, St George's Cricket Stadium and Hospital and close to Port Elizabeth International Airport, all of which are within a 10-minute drive. Whistlewood also enjoys a choice of 8 walkable restaurants, all within a 2 to 10-minute walk. The first one is the popular Hussar Grill.
