What A Pleasure Houseboat is 65-foot pontoon located on the shore of Lake Kariba. It is child friendly and it offers guests a comfortable and spacious stay.The houseboat consists of three cabins, two of which offer double beds, while the third has two single beds. The rooms share the use of a bathroom with a shower a separate toilet. Important Information
Please note that your booking will only be confirmed on receipt of the completed and signed terms and conditions and agreement of chartering, along with a deposit as set out below.
A 50% deposit of your full charter rate is payable to secure your booking.
Final balance due 30 days prior to departure date.
If monies are not received by the due dates, we are entitled to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
What A Pleasure is moored at Kariba Breezes Harbour. Boarding times will be at 12:00 pm and if boarding any time later than 2:00 pm, it will be the captain’s decision in the interest of safety of the boat whether to leave harbour on that day or the following morning.
What A Pleasure is chartered on a dry boat rate, which is excluding fuel, food and drinks. The boat chef will cook for clients at no extra cost. Catering, drinks and ice can be ordered at an extra cost.
On arrival, What A Pleasure shall have all fuel tanks full. Please check this with the captain before departure so as to avoid any misunderstandings. Upon return to harbour, it is the party leader undersigned that will be responsible for the refueling of all tanks and to sign acknowledgement with the captain.
Please note national parks charges a lake entry fee which covers a period of 2 to 7 days:
Zimbabwean Residents - US$5 per person for entry;
Non-residents - US$10 per person for entry;
Fishing permits for residents - US$5 per person fishing per day;
Fishing permits for non-residents - U$10 per person fishing per day.
The above is payable directly to the National Parks and ZIMRA officials who will approach clients in the harbour prior to departing on a charter. Please notice that all prices are subject to change without notice.
Tipping is at the discretion of the party leader. Swimming is entirely at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any possible animal attacks, or the consequences from these attacks.
