Important Information

1. Reservation and Confirmation
• Waterview House can only confirm a reservation once all payments are made as stipulated in point 2 below.
• The person responsible for the booking again needs to confirm the reservation details, i.e. date and time of arrival and duration of stay, with Waterview House 21 days before arrival.

2. Payment & Deposit
• A 50% deposit is required within 72 hours after the booking was made to confirm a booking. The final balance due is payable 14 days prior to arrival. Failing to do so will automatically result in the cancellation of your reservation.
• A key deposit of R500 is payable together with the payment for accommodation. The deposit, or balance thereof, will be refunded after final check of unit and the deduction of any breakage, replacement or the usage of items charged for separately.
• Waterview House requires advance payment of the full accommodation and key deposit amount to secure the reservation.
• All rates exclude tourism and grading levies.
• Rates are subject to change without prior notification.
4. Arrival and Departure
• On arrival, the keys will be available from the Caretaker of the house.
• On departure, the keys must be left with the Caretaker.
• The gate times for the Estate are from 06h00 in the morning to 19h00 in the afternoon.
• Please make prior arrangements with Waterview House for late arrival or early departure.
• Arrival check-in time is from 15h00 and the check-out time on the departure date is before 11h00.

5. House keeping
• Service/Cleaning of the house will only be available on prior arrangement with Waterview House at an additional cost of R200 per day.
• Service of the house will include the washing of dishes, make-up of beds and cleaning of the bathrooms.
• Waterview House is equipped with basic crockery and cutlery.
• The bedding includes pillows, summer fitted sheets and duvets. Please bring own flat sheets and additional blankets if preferred.
• Please bring your own swimming towels.
• Bath towels are supplied. Please do not use these for swimming towels!
• Breakage, replacement and usage costs are invoiced after final check of the house.

6. General Information and Rules
• A DSTV dish is available at the house. Please bring your own decoder and subscription cards.
• Overnight accommodation is strictly according to the number of persons as per the reservation document. Should the caretaker find more persons than those stated it is totally up to his/her discretion to ask the guests to vacate the property.
• For the wellbeing of guests, Waterview House has been designed to accommodate a specific number of people comfortably in the different rooms! No overcrowding will be permitted.
• A DSTV dish is available at the house. Please bring your own decoder and subscription cards.
• For the comfort of all guests we do not allow any smoking inside any of the rooms. Smoking is permitted on all exterior terraces and balconies.
• Waterview House operates on a septic tank system. PLEASE DO NOT put any foreign objects like pads or nappies in the toilets!
• No Pets are allowed.
• No fire wood is available.
• Utility quad bikes and bicycles are allowed on the estate. Please bring your own.
• No off-road driving is allowed on the estate. Drivers may only use the existing roads in the estate. Offenders will be dealt with.
• No speeding or reckless driving in the estate.
• No rubble or refuse may be dumped or discarded on any area of the estate. Rubbish bin and additional black refuse bags are available in the house.
• Flora may not be damaged or removed. Fauna of any kind may not be teased, disturbed, chased or trapped.
• Feeding of any wild animal or game is absolutely forbidden.
• No furniture from within the units may be moved or used outside.
• The guest signing the contract is responsible for the correct and decent behaviour of his/her party. Should the guest and his/her party behave in such a manner that is not acceptable by civilized standards, the caretaker may ask the client and his/her party to vacate the property.
• NO LOUD MUSIC is allowed at all times!

7. Conditions of Stay
The owners and the management of Waterview House will not be held responsible for any loss or damage of property brought onto the premises.

The Owner and Management cannot be held responsible for:

1.1. Any loss or damage to the property or possessions of any guest, resident or visitor,
whether such damage was caused by fire, theft or otherwise, or by negligence or the
wrongful act of anyone in the employment of or acting on behalf of the
owner/management.

1.2. Any personal injury of what so ever nature, sustained by a guest, visitor, whether such
injuries were sustained by the negligence or wrongful act of anyone employed by the
owner/management or any other person or by the defective functioning of any apparatus
or appliance of the owner/management.

1.3. Any person who signs the check in document and who is accompanied or visited by any
other person, or who is accompanied or visited later by any other person, safeguard the
owner/management against any responsibility towards any person in the instances
explained in the conditions in paragraph 1.1 and 1.2.

The guest by signing this form, warrants that he/she is duly authorized to sign for and bind all
persons represented by him/her or for whom he is responsible to those conditions of residence
and failing such authority, aggress to be personally liable for all amounts arising from the
residence of himself/herself and his/her party at Waterview House.
