Embrace the cozy charm of this retreat, perfect for couples seeking an escape to the tranquil countryside. Explore orchards, canoe on the dam, bask in summer sun in the private garden, or snuggle up by a crackling fire in winter.
Nestled beside the main farm homestead, this quaint Cape vernacular cottage sits beneath ancient Oak trees, offering views of the horse paddock, stables, and endless rows of pear and apple trees along the entrance farm road.
As a working farm, weekdays buzz with activity, accompanied by the hum of tractors. Inside the cottage, a nostalgic ambiance prevails with its low reed ceilings, well-worn furniture, classic stripe, floral, and check fabrics, and scattered old Persian rugs. Bookshelves brim with vintage volumes and a generous cane basket is stocked with firewood for the cozy closed-stove in the sitting area.
A self-catering cottage with two cozy bedrooms featuring double beds and a shared bathroom. The cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen and offers lake access and picturesque vineyard vistas.
The open-plan living area boasts double doors on either side of the dining space, offering access to picturesque vistas. Guests can savor their private, lovely garden for relaxation, barbecue, or lounging on a chaise longue. A single delightful "vintage-style" bathroom features an extra-large shower and a bathtub. Please be aware that the farm's drinking water is sourced from the mountain and may have a brownish hue, so don't be alarmed if your bathwater appears brown.
Guests are welcome to stroll around the farm, at their leisure. We do have three, friendly big dogs, so they may very well join you for a walk. Also, feel free to walk to the dam ( a 1 minute stroll), and sit on the glorious jetty, or take a row in a two seater Indian canoe.
