About Valley View Backpackers

Valley View Backpackers is located on the western side of the village overlooking the Graskop Valley, only a 15-minute walk from the centre of town. Graskop is a doorway leading to the Panoramic Route along the Blyde River Canyon, the Kruger National Park or even Swaziland and Mozambique, and it is surrounded by mountains, lush forests and rolling hills of green.

Clean, friendly and well-located budget accommodation for international and national travellers. The backpackers is set in a peaceful garden overlooking the Sheba Mountain Reserve and Graskop Valley, an ideal place to relax and recharge your batteries after a day full of discovery and adventure.

We offer a variety of accommodation options to suite your needs. All types of accommodation have use of our fully equipped kitchen facilities, free tea and coffee, a sitting room to read or watch TV or a DVD and a wooden deck to relax. There is secure parking right next door, free of charge, and you will be given a key to come and go as you please.

If you need information we have tourist files to browse through and we will gladly inform you of all. We offer local tours and hikes along the canyon, picnics to spectacular waterfall sights and transfers to and from Hazyview, Sabie, Nelspruit and Belfast. We can help to create and book tours to the Kruger Park and assist with making bookings for the numerous adventure activities on offer in the province of Mpumalanga.

Mountain bikes may be rented for half or full day at Valley View, so that you can explore the local surroundings of Graskop. We provide maps, permits and information about the various biking routes and hiking trails. This is the ideal place for hiking through the tree plantations, grasslands and visiting the many waterfalls en route.
