About Uylenvlei Retreat
Uylenvlei Retreat and Conference Centre is located on the beautiful Fynbos road between Gansbaai and Baardskeerdersbos in the Western Cape's unspoilt Southern Overberg. As part of the Strandveld, it is one of the most undisturbed and picturesque destinations in the region, about 14 km from Gansbaai on the road to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point of the African continent.
The retreat offers conference facilities, luxury Self-catering Units, well-equipped Tent Tondavels, Strandveld Rooms, a solar-heated swimming pool, braai facilities, a boma and safe parking. Uylenvlei also forms part of a hiking trail. Find peace and the silence of nature as it should be experienced. Experience the bird twitter by day, the relaxing night sounds and the most exquisite sunrises. It is important for us that you experience tranquillty, serenity and inner peace.
Braai facilities and a communal kitchen are available to the occupants of the Tent Rondavels as well as the Strandveld and the Farm Rooms are able to prepare light meals. There is electricity in all the rondavels and rooms and hot water in the rondavels; certain rooms are supplied by gas geysers. Additional ablution facilities for men and woman are available for guests, each consisting of three showers, basins and toilets. All linen and towels are supplied, however no room service is provided, this can be provided at an additional charge if required.
The accommodation is ideal for groups and individual travellers, allowing for a festive resort like atmosphere where guest can meet new people from all over the country.
