About Ursinia Lodge

Ursinia Lodge is a guest house situated in the coastal region of Betty's Bay, roughly one hour's drive from Cape Town. It is located in the heart of the whale-watching coast, and is just a five-minute walk to the beautiful Betty’s Bay beach.Ursinia Lodge is named after the bright and cheerful, annual ursinias which are indigenous to South Africa. The Ursinia is easily recognized by the glossy black centre of its daisy flowers - giving it its beautiful Afrikaans name, glansoogbergmagriet, which literally means 'glossy eyed mountain daisy'. This apartment was comfortable, neat and we didn't need a thing. We did however feel, that the website of this Lodge should state - the owner ask a recoverable deposit, refundable 4-7 days after your stay - that the owner lives on the premises permanently. Using Safarinow, Lekkeslaap and Booking.com, I want to read all about the accomodation that influence my decision where to stay.

We have just returned from a fabulous six days in Bettys Bay. Our stay at Ursinia Lodge was delightful, the house was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and Esme was most helpful and a perfect host.It is situated in a very quiet and peaceful part of Bettys Bay, which was special. The walk to the beach took a little effort in clambering up the dunes but the spectacular view is worth it. Shops are... Read more

We had a lovely stay at Ursinia Lodge. We didn’t spend much time there, but Esme, was wonderful and she was very accommodating. We had a pleasant stay, thank you.

The stay at Ursinia Lodge was very wonderful and a home far away from home. The place was warm and welcoming. Clean and auspicious place. I would recommend all my friends to visit and next year our Cape Town stay will be there.

The house was everything that we expected, spacious and neat with beautiful mountain views and not to far from the beach.Esme was a great host, she always supplies you with whatever was needed, lovely fresh bedding and towels etc.We will definitely not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you for one of our best holidays ever!
