Ugebezi Explorer Camp
About Ugebezi Explorer Camp
Ugebezi Explorer Camp gets its name from the Nguni word meaning skull. Rewind a few years and this land was home to the discovery of civilisations from an ancient era.
An early human skull was found close to a prominent waterhole, just a short distance from our camp. At Ugebezi, we focus on walking safaris, specifically, for this reason, exploring the rich history that our wilderness area provides.
We retrace not only man's footsteps, but those of the many species of animals on the reserve, from the famous Big 5 to smaller species like aardvark and honey badger.
The intimate nature of a walking safari takes us back to the connection we shared with Africa. Our aim is to fall in rhythm with this connection, to be aware of all your senses and in tune with nature.
