Transkaroo Adventures offers the tourist a unique opportunity to experience the most breathtaking and surprising scenes in the Upper Karoo since 1993.Transkaroo is situated about 750 km from Johannesburg and Cape Town – on the N10 route between Middelburg Eastern Cape and Hanover in the Northern Cape on the N10 route. It is placed under the Noupoort area.Farm-style accommodation is offered in restored farmhouses that are all suited for self-catering farm holidays or overnight stays. The two farmhouses (fully equipped) and overnight huts (for hikers, 4 x 4 visitors etc.)

Transkaroo is situated about 750 km from Johannesburg and Cape Town – on the N10 route between Middelburg Eastern Cape and Hanover in the Northern Cape on the N10 route. It is placed under the Noupoort area.

Farm-style accommodation is offered in restored farmhouses that are all suited for self-catering farm holidays or overnight stays. The two farmhouses (fully equipped) and overnight huts (for hikers, 4 x 4 visitors etc.) can accommodate up to 12 guests per facility.

Middelburg lies in the middle of its surrounding towns, approximately 100 km from all. Surrounded by Graaff-Reinet, Cradock, Steynsburg, Colesberg, Richmond & Hanover, it is no secret as to where the name "Middelburg" came from. Middelburg is halfway between Johannesburg & Cape Town, as well as between Bloemfontein & Port Elizabeth.

The R56 route serves as a gateway between the Western Cape && Kwazulu-Natal Provinces. It is the shortest route between these provinces. The R56 route begins at Middelburg and ends at Kokstad. Towns that you’ll past through, are Steynsburg, Molteno, Dordrecht, Ugie, Elliot, Maclear and Matatiele.
