POST LOCK-DOWN FACILITIES OPENING CLEANING PROCEDURE
Process and procedures at the beginning of the day – before we start working:
1. Only 3 cleaning ladies work on any given day.
2. Temperatures are taken before entering the vehicle for transport.
3. Each lady is provided with her own Personal Protection Equipment (PPE: mask, gloves, apron) before
entering any house and after the clean the PPE garments are placed in a plastic bag for disposal at the end of
the day.
4. Each lady is also provided with her own personal hand sanitizer which she carries with her at all time.
PROCEDURES FOLLOWED FOR EACH CLEAN:
HARD SURFACES AND WALLS
1. Clean Surfaces with hot water and disinfectant all-purpose non-abrasive cleaning solution. Surfaces includes
all kitchen taps, tabletops, chairs walls and kitchen appliances (inside and outside).
2. Allow to dry
3. Spray with 70% alcohol-based surface cleaner
4. Exit room
FLOORS, STOEP AREAS AND GARAGES
1. Vacuum / sweep floor to remove all dust and solid waste
2. Mop floors with hot water and disinfectant floor/tile cleaner and allow to dry
3. Wipe down all staircase railings with disinfectant all-purpose solution and soft cloth
4. Allow areas to dry
5. Spray area with 70% alcohol-based aerosol solution
BEDROOMS, LOUNGES AND DINING AREAS
1. Dust room down with microfibre cloth / duster
2. Wipe down all surfaces (table tops, TV’s, all remotes, and hard chairs) with hot water, disinfectant allpurpose solution and soft cloth.
3. Allow to dry
4. Mop hard floors with hot water and disinfectant floor/tile cleaner or vacuum carpets and loose rugs
5. Spray area with 70% alcohol-based aerosol solution

4. Scrub toilet bowl with disinfectant and toilet brush and wash outside of toilet, seat and tank (including flush
mechanism) with hot water and disinfectant.
5. Allow to dry
6. Spray area with 70% alcohol-based aerosol solution.

1. Disinfectant – Savlon / Dettol / Absolute Hygiene Thick Bleach and Maxiclean products

3. Clean mops and cloths are used for every house and used mops and cloths are placed in a plastic bag
separate from the clean equipment.
4. Vacuum cleaner filters are changed and washed on a regular basis
