Tower of Pizza Lodge

The Tower of Pizza Lodge is situated on a working grain farm in the Amphitheatre valley in the Northern Drakensberg, just 9 km from the Royal Natal National Park. Tower of Pizza has its origin in an unused grain silo, which with the addition of a traditional wood burning pizza oven, became a pizzeria. This quickly became a popular meeting place for both the local people and tourists and has grown into a landmark in the area. Our accommodation was recently rated 3 Stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and we offer comfortable, free-standing cottages or rondavels, all with en-suite bathrooms. The restaurant menu includes pizzas, pasta, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and seasonal specials.

Activities on the farm or in the vicinity include hiking, fishing, horse riding, birding, tubing, abseiling and rap jumping, golf, mountain biking, 4X4 trails, and tours to the hydro-electrical scheme. Be sure to visit the nearby adventure centre for paintball, swinging trapeze, zip lines, and quad biking.
