We had an extraordinary stay at the Red Rooster. Charming landladies, charming garden man and gorgeous Karoo garden provided a memorable few days within an authentic and rustic interior. A space we will certainly return to. It has the gift of longevity in the making of memories. Thank you for what you provided in terms of space, conversation, art, jams and books.Establishment response:Thank you... Read more

A lovely, typical country cottage well furnished with old rustic furniture.Quiet, serene and close to the town center. Beautiful gardens surround the double storey cottage.. Lots of birdlife!

The quiet setting in a lovely herby vegetable garden, the trees were blossoming and you felt like you were far far away.

Spent one night at the Red Rooster on our Route62 trip. A cute little place - not for luxury and long stays but more than adequate for one night. Loved the little stove - really warmed up the place.
