About The Rivonia River Lodge

The Rivonia River Lodge is a thatched lodge on the banks of the Braamfontein Spruit, set in a scenic one and a half acres of landscaped gardens.

The lodge has eight en-suite rooms available, of which seven are self-catering. There is a swimming pool and a duckpond which is the home of two indigenous Black African ducks. The security consists of electric fencing and beams linked to an alarm.

The Lodge is situated in a quiet cul de sac, however it is central to Rivonia Boulevard, Sandton City, and Monte Casino.

Conference Venues: We can accommodate 8 delegates.We are 5 minutes from central Rivonia and 7 mins from the Woodmead office parks. We have a transport facility and we only charge for petrol usage. We also have fibre internet.

Family friendly: We have a manager who lives on site and is available for any special requests. Any special food requests for children can be catered for.

Romantic: It is a peaceful gem in the hub of busy Sandton.

The Lodge is in a green and very quiet environment in a restricted access neiborghood. I arrived in the evening and someone was there for me, as I arranged late check-in. The room was big, but the light was very deem (1 think only one light was working on the chandelier out of the 8 bulbs).The highlight of the room was actually the bathroom with view.

Didn't like anything. They don't even have backup for loadshedding. We used our phones for lighting. TV was very small we couldn't see anything from a distance. The pool was very dirty.

Somewhat disappointed in the stay. Arrived 10mins after 6pm. The gate buzzer is held together with masking tape and the after hours number goes through to a previous employee - took 20mins to get in so not a great start!The staff are poorly dressed (manager barefoot in pajamas) which does not instill a level of professionalism.The rooms were large and adequate, bed was comfortable, shower was hot but I could run faster than the wifi. It felt like the day after a huge party.Note to self - check current reviews when booking next time.
