About The Portswood Hotel

The Portswood Hotel is situated in the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. It is just over 20 kilometres from the Cape Town International Airport and is central to the city’s major attractions.

The Portswood is famous for its unique, personal approach to service - catering to the international traveller’s every need and anticipating their every desire. Rich in South Africa’s unique culture, this hotel is a must for any traveller looking for a historical experience within luxury accommodation.

There are standard, deluxe, king and accessible rooms in the hotel. Guests also have the option of staying in the hotel’s exclusive suite, the Captain's Suite. All rooms are air-conditioned and include luxuries such as telephones, televisions with DStv connections and Wi-Fi Internet access.

The Portswood Hotel has The Quarterdeck Restaurant which specialises in Cape Malay/Malaysian/Indonesian infused cuisine. For those with a sense of adventure and who are historically driven, this restaurant is a must.

The Terrace offers light meals as well as the “Links bar”. We also have a Spitbraai on the first Sunday of every month and a Potjiekos on the last Saturday of every month.

Spa: Guests can treat themselves at the Commodore Hotel's wellness centre. There is also a sauna in the fitness centre.
