Important Information
PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING:
Guest Registration:
Our property is registered on SUPERHOG. This registration removes the need for guests to provide a physical cash damage deposit. When your booking is confirmed, you will be required to complete the guest verification process before your arrival by clicking on the link provided. You may also be required to sign a separate guest registration form prior to arrival for us to facilitate your check in.
Housekeeping:
No daily housekeeping will be included in the rate but can be paid for additionally.
Maximum Occupancy:
The maximum occupancy for this unit is 4 guests.
Electricity:
South Africa has been experiencing period of load-shedding. Load Shedding means that electricity goes off for period of 2.5 hours at a time. We often do not know in advance when this will happen however, there is an app you can download in order to ensure you know what times it will take place and plan your day accordingly. Please see the following link to the app; Load Shedding App (EskomSePush – The Loadshedding App). We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. This is unfortunately something that is out of our hands and governed by the South African Electricity providers. Accordingly, neither The Polofields Pad nor the owner shall be liable for any refunds, compensation or discounts as a result of services being unavailable due to loadshedding.
Noise Control:
This Penthouse is situated in a quiet residential estate and we need t adhere to strict noise control measures implemented by the estate manager and its board. We therefore need you to understand and accept the following conditions:
1. No Parties of any kind are to be held at the Penthouse
2. No noise or loud music of any nature (heard by neighbours) is allowed between 10pm and 7am during the week and between 11pm and 7am on the weekends.
3. No hooting or shouting in the street or any time (day or night)
4. Should you have a guest or two visiting, please make us aware so we can arrange access codes
Travel Insurance:
It is imperative that you have procured adequate and fully comprehensive travel insurance including cancellation cover and cover for theft of personal items.
Water Restrictions:
Please ensure you have farmiliarised yourself with the by-laws surrounding water restriction in Johannesburg. We request that you adhere to the prescribed minimum water usage at all times. Further information can be found here: www.joburg.org.za
Groups:
No groups of all solo travelers unless by request. No bachelor/bachelorette party groups permitted.
Children:
Although we accept children at this property, there may still be child safety issues and concern for guests with younger children, such as balconies. Guests staying with children do so at their own risk and are urged to take all due care and attention during their stay. To make your stay more comfortable our BabyQuip Rental Package Service offers you baby gear at an additional charge. Our service helps facilitate stress-free and convenient family travel by eliminating the need to pack and haul bulky baby equipment through the airport or take up valuable boot space.
Monthly Stays:
Please note on monthly discounts, electricity will be for your own account. Standard amenities e.g. WiFi, DSTV, Netflix if applicable will be included. No daily housekeeping will be included within the rate but can be paid for additionally. Reasonable water usage is included, this will be monitored according to current city limits.
