About The Lapa
The Lapa is a self-catering guest house with thatched roof located on the host's premises in Hillcrest, in the Valley of a Thousand Hills. The property is an ideal base from which to explore the town's surrounding attractions and amenities.The double-storey detached guest cottage is in the gardens of the property, which is rich in bird life. The unit sleeps four guests ie 2 couples or a couple and 2 children or 3 adults and has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom has a shower, a basin and a toile
The lapa has no golf course, however, is very suitably located to at least 10 noteworthy golf courses some within a 3 to 10km distance, 2 driving ranges and quite a number lesser of known golf courses. A list and distances are available on request.
The lapa is large enough to cater for small group, day, conferences, A tv and wifi is available. We suggest that the facility is prior inspected to ensure it is suitable for your requirement.
The Lapa downstair open plan lounge, kitchennette,TV ,internal braai area is ideal for families, as it is approximately 85m2 in area with adjacent bathroom facilities
Idealic garden. Endemic and other trees, shrubs and flowers, Quiet and tranquil, Secluded, Many birds as per season. Shaded garden patio and pool area, Pool facilities, External braai area, own parking. Tranquil. Different and pleasing to the eye.
Standard Covid cleaning is undertaken
Self drive Safaris. Hillcrest and further outying areas has any number of own self-guided vehicle and walking tours. The Lapa is only a self-catering unit however can advise as per the guest's interest

Important Information
The Lapa caters for four adults i.e. 2 couples and or a family couple with two children and or 3 adults sharing . It has one double bed plus two three-quarter beds in two separate room areas upstairs , extra children may be accommodated, only on request. The downstairs area is open kitchenette , braai, lounge Dstv ,dining area of some 85m2 area with adjacent bathroom, toilet, handbasin and shower.
Extra adults can not be accommodated, as there are insufficient sleeping areas available.
The Lapa rules need to be adhered to and are available on request. No parties are allowed
Guests will be met on arrival, given Lapa door keys, intermediate gate keys and sliding gate remote, a short orientation tour and on departure t keys to be returned and guests will be let out with the remote.
The Lapa is a thatched structure, so no naked flames and smoking is allowed upstairs. Downstairs smoking is allowed and fire only within the internal braai(BBQ) , fireplace area and designated external braai slab. adjacent to the lapa garden patio.
No loud music after 22hoo and no music after 24hoo. Pool closed after 22hoo. Pool used at guests risk as it is unfenced and uncovered.
The Lapa is not a party venue. It is within a residential area with surrounding neighbouring houses. Party venue facilities are catered for by other establishments.
Parking is adjacent to the Lapa, Gate access and remote are available if required. The panhandle gates are locked at night.
The Lapa is on a septic tank system and guests are requested to deposit sanitary hygene products in bins provided.
Pets are allowed, arrangements to be agreed for exercising and should be kept within the Lapa, as we have our own.
Hillcrest and area sites and attractions are varied and many.
