Important Information
* Check-in is strictly between 14h00 and 20h00 and Check-out 10h00. Any late check-in or check-out must be communicated to the owners. Keys must be collected and left with Field Security at their control room. Remember to activate the alarm when leaving.
* No smoking allowed inside the house, failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. Kindly keep smoking to outside, and please make use of the ashtrays.
* We make use of a septic tank and thus no sanitary items such as tampons, pads, nappies and wipes may be flushed. Unfortunately, it also means that only single-ply toilet paper may be used.
* Should we need to unblock a drain due to failure to comply, the cost will be deducted from the deposit.
* When leaving the house unoccupied and upon departure please lock the door, close all windows, switch off the air-cons and set the alarm, we will not be held responsible for any theft,or loss of valuables. On the alarm, the white button is on (hear one beep) and off (hear 2 beeps), the red is only for emergencies (if we need to switch off air-cons or switch on alarms, a R200 call out fee will be deducted from the deposit). If the electricity is off upon departure, please switch off at the DB board.
* Please place refuse bags in the garbage cage outside but should you have too many bags (more than 3) please take it to the dumpsites at the park’s entry gates. Do not leave any garbage bags inside the house or on the stoep upon departure, the Marloth Park heat causes terrible smells and
bags left on the stoep gets torn up by animals.
* Unfortunately, no pets are allowed.
* Baboons and monkeys. Please close all windows or doors when leaving, should baboons or monkeys enter the house, a R500 clean-up fee will be charged if this happens.
* Fire is only allowed in the braai and the boma area, please do not leave any open fire unattended and please extinguish it before going to bed or before leaving the premises.
* No loud music or noise, the park authorities are very strict and have the power to evict guests or give fines, should they not adhere to the rules.
* Please do not take any glassware when going for game drives/picnics, plastic glasses have been provided for this purpose to use as you please.
* Please do not take any of the inside furniture outside. Please do not move furniture around, should heavy furniture be moved, a R100 fee will apply to move furniture back.
* No food in the bedrooms, the cleaning of stubborn stains from linen will be deducted from deposit.
* The use of the pool and deck is entirely at your own risk and all underaged children must always be supervised by an adult.
* Extra bedding and pillows can be found in the closet of each room, we kindly ask that you leave any extra bedding that you may have used on the bed when checking out.
* Please use electricity wisely and economically to avoid overload.
* Use economically, we are saving the planet.
* A list of emergency numbers can be found on the fridge.
* Should you encounter any snakes in the house, please do not attempt to catch them yourselves, please phone the numbers provided on the emergency number list to assist.
* An inventory list can be found in the kitchen drawer, please check it and report any discrepancies via email: [email protected] or whatsapp on 0789543044.
* Please inform us of any breakages that might have occurred during your stay.
* You are welcome to leave bread, biscuits, dry goods, coldrinks, etc. in the fridge for the cleaners, but please do not leave any cooked for the cleaners, R50 clean-up fee will apply for cooked leftover food left in pots/ containers.
* Please leave the house neat and tidy as you found it, if excessive cleaning is needed, it will be charged. If you’d like to leave your final dishes to be washed a fee of R120 will be applicable, which can either be deducted from your deposit or you can leave the cash for the cleaners.
* The feeding of wild animals is totally at your own risk and The Hedge @ Marloth Park will not accept any responsibility for injury or death resulting from animal encounters.
* Generally, no walking/cycling is allowed in Marloth Park from 18h00 to 06h00.
* We appreciate your stay and have gone to great lengths to make it as comfortable as possible, if however if you find anything not up to standard please feel free to give us a call.
