The Great Circle Lodge is situated on the equator 8000-feet above sea-level, in the Central Highlands of Kenya. The Great Circle Lodge provides Cottage, Backpacker and Camping accommodation, with great food and a fully stocked bar. It is especially suitable for trekkers, families and safari travellers.

The accommodation has been arranged to suit all tastes and budgets. The Cottages have en-suite bathrooms and sleep up to four in two double beds. They are great for couples or families. Bandas (bunkrooms) provide ideal accommodation for backpackers or groups, and are equipped with comfortable mattresses, duvets and pillows. They sleep up to nine guests. There is also a lush grass camping field, camp kitchen and hot shower facility for campers and Banda guests. Tents are available on request. There is hard parking safari trucks as well.

Our well-stocked bar and barbecue serves a cosy makuti, with a central fireplace to take the chill off the evenings. Cocktails can be enjoyed from 6 pm, as guests watch the sunset behind the Aberdares across the Rift Valley! After dark, the stars and planets are spectacular from the GCL's elevation and equatorial position. A telescope or binoculars can be borrowed for stargazing.
