Important Information

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. DEFINITIONS
• Guesthouse means The Adler Studio Apartment.
• Guest: A person staying at the guesthouse and/or the person responsible for the account of the guesthouse.


2. RATES
• The rates are as per annexure A hereto. ( Available on request)
• The rates include accommodation plus any board indicated. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras, such as additional meals, telephone, drinks etc. are additional and at the guests expense.
• Management reserves the right to change the rates without prior notice. Rates quoted for confirmed bookings will be honoured.
• Rates are quoted in South African Rands and are inclusive of VAT, if applicable.

3. ACCEPTED MEANS OF PAYMENT
• We accept the following payment means:
 Cash
 Internet transfer. Any deposit by internet transfer must be confirmed with a proof of payment sent to the guesthouse by the guest before the booking is confirmed.
 Credit cards/Debit cards.( EXTRA CHARGES MAY BE ADDED)

• Any bank charges incurred by the guesthouse in relation to international funds transfers are to be met by the guests and will be added to the balance due on departure
• We do not accept any foreign currency

4. DEPOSIT / BOOKING
• Right of admission is reserved, no CASH deposits
• A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking in order to confirm/secure the reservation
• Proof of payment of the deposit is to be sent to the guesthouse after which an email confirming the booking will be sent to the guest


5. BALANCE
• The outstanding balance of the reservation is to be paid upon arrival and any additional expenses on departure

6. CANCELLATION POLICY
• If the guest cancels the booking:
 Less than 14 days the guest forfeits the full deposit
 From 14 to 21 days the guest forfeits 50% of the deposit
 From 21 to 28 days the guest forfeits 25% of the deposit
 28 days and more the full deposit will be refunded
 The full deposit will be forfeited for cancellations between the 16thDecember and the 10th January.
 Cancellations must be done in writing

7. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
• Arrival times will be from 15h00 to 22h00 on the day of the booked arrival
• Departure must be by 10h00 on the booked day of departure
• Late or early arrivals/departures must be arranged with management prior to same occurring
• Late arrival or departure is at the discretion of management and dependant on room availability.

8. INSURANCE
• It is the guests responsibility to take out the appropriate personal travel insurance

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
• Guests agree on behalf of themselves and the members of their parties that neither the establishment, its owners, employees nor agents shall be responsible for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or damage to any property upon the premises, whether arising from fire, theft or any cause and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the employment of the guesthouse.






10. PARKING
• We provide secure private parking at the guesthouse to our guests with 24 hour security surveillance however it is at the guests own risk to park at the guesthouse.



11. NO SMOKING
• All public areas and guest rooms are non-smoking. Should you be found to be smoking in the above mentioned areas a fine of R1 000.00 per incident will be added to your account payable on departure.

12. PETS
• Pets are not permitted.

13. BREAKAGE AND KEY DEPOSIT FEE
• Any damage caused by guests to property/premises during the occupation thereof due to bad behaviour, carelessness or otherwise, or keys lost and replaced for security reasons will be for the guests account. The amount owing by the guest will be allocated to the final bill and will be paid upon departure.
• PLEASE acknowledge CONTENT LIST AVAILABLE IN KITCHEN.
• All breakages to be reported to staff on duty OR MANAGER immediately.


14. ACCOMMODATION
• Please note that all accommodation is located on ground level but unfortunately there are no facilities to cater for disabled persons. In no way is this to be construed as the guesthouse refusing any patronage or discriminating against any group of persons.
• Toilet paper and basic amenities are made available upon arrival.
• No unauthorised visitors after 10pm, all occupants will be charged accordingly after 10pm





15. BED AND BREAKFAST
• Although the guesthouse is a B&B, ONLY continental breakfast will be served between 7am and 9am, this will consist of a medley of fruits (subject to seasonal availability), juice, confectionaries, cereals (this may vary),yogurt, cold meats and coffee/tea as made available in the apartment. Different time slots can be made with prior arrangement. Guests can also choose NOT to include breakfast with their stay
• Any special requirements, dietary or otherwise, must be communicated in writing to the guesthouse prior to arrival of which notification is the guest’s obligation. Notice of the special requirements must be given at least 7 days prior to arrival.


16. LEGAL ACTION AND CONSENT
• The guest hereby agrees that if any legal action needs to be taken in collection of the fees or otherwise against the guests on behalf of the guesthouse that the guest hereby expressly agrees to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court in terms of the relevant sections contained in the Magistrate’s Court Act. The guest further agrees that the guest will be liable for legal fees on the tariff of Attorney and Own Client in respect to the relevant legal action.

17. SHUTTLE SERVICE
• Although the guesthouse does not provide their own shuttle service, transport may be arranged on the guests behalf at the guests special instance and request and at the guests own costs. This service is subject to availability and prior arrangement with the guesthouse.

18. CHILDREN
• Although the guesthouse allows the occupation of children it is stipulated and agreed on between the guest and the guesthouse that the children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times
• Children are not allowed to play or throw any stones in and around the guesthouse!

19. SECURITY AND RULES
• The guest agrees that he/she are subject to and will comply with all security rules contained within the guesthouse and suburb surrounding the guesthouse.
• All units to be locked upon every departure! This is for your and our safety please!
• Please look after the property as you would your own!!! You will not be pleased if your guests breaks your belongings purposefully or take your blankets as souvenirs.



20. ACCEPTANCE OF THE AGREEMENT AND TERMS
• By confirming a booking with the guesthouse, the guest hereby binds himself/herself to the above Terms and Conditions and agrees to the contents thereof.
• The agreement between the guest and the guesthouse will be governed and applied
in terms of laws of the Republic of South Africa.
