About Thaba Khaya Lodge

Over an hour from Johannesburg and 40 minutes from Pretoria in the Northwest Province hides an exquisite retreat called Thaba Khaya Lodge. This beautiful lodge is part of Sable Ranch, a Private Game Reserve and proclaimed Natural Heritage site which is situated in a malaria-free area.

The four-star lodge offers exceptionally comfortable accommodation for a maximum of 16 guests, in standard rooms leading out into the fever tree-dotted gardens, or luxury suites with private balconies overlooking the pristine bushveld and the Thaba Khaya Lodge waterhole. Rates include all meals, teas, and coffees, use of the lodge facilities, game drives, and excellent personal service by an attentive and friendly lodge team.

With an abundance of game spread out over 4500 hectares and a symphony of migratory birds, we offer an interactive guided experience where our highly qualified field guide educates guests on the natural surroundings and wildlife.
