Payments and Refund Policy

A 24-hour grace period is permitted after reservation, thereafter booking is non-refundable. Please make sure you read the below important information.

If you have a suite preference, please advise us as quickly as possible so that we can confirm the availability of your preferred suite.

We are a 3-star self-catering forest lodge, situated in 36 hectares of forest along the Garden Route, 16 km’s from the N2. We are off the beaten track and partially off the grid. The nearest town and shops are 20 min away in the slow town of Sedgefield, so be sure to stock up on groceries, we do have a licensed bush pub (Dé Adder Padda) onsite serving drinks and refreshments only with a large family pool and kiddies splash pool at the entertainment area.

Each suite is a combination of tent canvas, wood, and glass. We are best suited to nature lovers, those wanting something a little unique, quirky, and adventurous; especially when the winds pick up and the odd thunderstorm hits.

Please be aware that you are going to be in the bush. This is not a manicured environment; it is part of the forest. We won’t, don’t, can’t fumigate the forest … so if you are someone who doesn’t have phobias about flora or fauna; trees, plants, birds, wild animals, insects, spiders, snakes, butterflies, moths, tame animals ……Teniqua Treetops is the holiday destination for you.

Only one (1) date change is permitted provided the booking has been paid in full and the request is received in writing no less than 14 days prior to arrival.

Should you wish to defer a reservation to a future travel date after confirmation, we will use your payments as a credit for that reservation, should the dates of the amended booking fall within a higher rate period, you will be responsible for the difference between seasonal rates.

Unfortunately, due to past experiences the following policy is in place should your date change be related to Covid 19 infection or contact tracing.
A date change is permitted within the 14-day period subject to the following supporting documentation.
1. Government instituted travel restrictions (no documentation needed (establishment to monitor).
2. A positive Covid 19 test result.
3. An affidavit that you were required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days due to exposure to Covid-19. Once you are able to obtain the affidavit your payments will be credited to a new reservation.

Check-in time: 14:00 pm – 18:00 pm
(Late check in’s will be charged at R150.00 per hour after 18:00 pm)

Check out time: 10:00 am
(Late check out’s will be charged at R150.00 per hour after 10:00 am)

No mask, No entry. All guests are required to wear a face mask when checking in or at the communal areas. Guests must complete a medical questioner, either electronically via a link emailed 48-24hours prior to check-in or at the time of check-in.

Guests' temperatures will be taken when checking in and noted on the declaration. Any guest’s temperature recorded outside of the normal range (above 38C) will result in the cancellation/deferment of the booking and the guest will be required to return home.

Failure to cancel your reservation within 24hours indicates that you have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions.
