Tassia is perched dramatically on the edge of a rocky bluff, which protrudes from the Mokogodo escarpment and overlooks a valley filled with acacia and newtonia trees. Staying at Tassia means removing yourself from the world as you know it, whether walking through the bush or scrambling up to caves where the Maasai used to live, you will not meet another car or tourist.

There are six spacious rooms, which can be adapted for families. Each banda bungalow is unique and all are en suite with a loo and a shower. The side of the room facing the view is completely open giving an unobstructed view of the wilderness and wildlife below. Other features of the lodge include a horizon swimming pool, a dining room, a bar, a ‘chill out area’, and deck area. The shop provides you with an eclectic mix of jewellery and clothes from talented Kenyan artisans.

Antonia, one of your hosts, is a Leith's trained chef and creates exciting sumptuous food. The food is an exotic mixture of African, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines, using home-grown, organic ingredients.
