Tamodi Lodge and Stables was created by Lynne and Owen Johnston. Their inspiration was born out of a love for horses and the beautiful valleys of The Crags. This passion is reflected in the carefully designed main house and stable buildings.
Although small at this stage, the peaceful setting and atmosphere creates a sense of relaxation while you look over the indigenous forests, valleys and Outeniqua Mountains. The property forms part of a natural conservancy area and it is also a working equestrian farm with a riding school. There are unfenced dams and an unfenced pool, so please take care with children. We are constructing walks on the farm which are excellent for bird watching or just relaxing. Please check with us which areas are safe before you go exploring. The farm is close to many activities in the Plettenberg Bay area, so there is never a dull moment.
We provide a full breakfast, but suggest you have lunch and dinner at one of the fine Plettenberg Bay restaurants. Perhaps start off by trying Enrico’s, which is just five minutes away at Keurbooms Beach, where you can enjoy magnificent views over the bay while watching the whales and dolphins playing in the surf.
