About Sâsa Safari Camp

'Sâsa' means 'peaceful' and is a Damara word. The camp offers panoramic views of the nearby Pareisis mountains. We are situated in the Ugab Valley of the Kunene region and are only one hour's drive to the famous Etosha National Park, the wildlife gem of southern Africa. We are also close to day trip and outings to all the famous tourist attractions and historic landmarks such as the Vingerklip, the Petrified Forest and the Waterberg Plateau. It is also well located to visit other sightseeing places in the North Western Kunene Region like the Epupa Falls and the Himba people wit

There is no swimming pool there (just a mud bath more often used by baboons! Oil lamps for lighting, but the lamps were so dirty they only gave more darkness (we cleaned them ourselves in the end). Donkey for the limited amount of warm water - but they only... Read more

Vir die prys is dit 'n lekker plekke om af te pak. Miskien bietjie rof as meer luukse verwag word maar baie lekker kampplek en chalets skoon. Was baie vriendelik en hulpvaardig. Lekker gebly.

We stayed at Sasa Safari for 9 nights from which to explore the region, Etosha is 45 minutes away and as the accommodation is so reasonably priced it's worth the short drive to Anderson Gate. In Outjo just 4km away there are various good restaurants, and shops. On a hill top with spectacular views of the landscape, wonderful bird life and sightings of game on the adjacent farms we saw eland, oryx... Read more

After some dusty days in Etosha park, our family of four spent a wonderful afternoon with delicious poolside dinner in relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at Sasa. We would have liked to stay longer and to enjoy the wide and beautiful views from the surrounding rocks!
