About Springbok Lodge

The Springbok Lodge epitomises the perfect safari experience with 21 beautifully appointed tented suites, service excellence, superb cuisine and prolific wildlife ensuring an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal battlefields, the lodge offers guests a chance to unwind in a picture-perfect setting. Beach: Sadly our nearest beach is in Durban (4 hours from the lodge)

Spa: Until further notice: Springbok Lodge is NOT offering any Spa Treatments.

Conference Venues: Conference + Big 5 right on your doorstep?30 seater conference - packages include projector, whiteboard, flip charts, stationery, sweeties, cordial + bottled water. One Game Drive per person per night included in conference package.

Family friendly: A jungle gym + plenty of open space to run around, pls bring small bikes for kids to ride on within the lodge grounds. Pools [not fenced] are available. Guests with children are asked to keep an eye on their children whilst using the pool area.

Romantic: Super romantic safari style tents, private, huge bathtubs (made for 2), private outdoor shower & romantic turndown on request. Private dinners available (no extra charge) should you have something special in mind [like popping THE question].

Covid Safety Approved: We have implemented thorough cleaning & sanitation processes throughout our public areas, guests tents and frequently touched surfaces. Sanitized Tent Keys will be placed in doors prior to check in. Sanitizing units available throughout the lodge.

Guided Safaris: Head out on the 2 game drives with your guide searching for the Big 5 & over 30 species of plains game which roam freely through the reserve. The Sundays River provides water through the Reserve attracting rare bird species, raptors & vultures.

Family Safaris: Our Family Unit tents offer a king bed & 2/3 extra single beds - ideal for families of up to 4 or 5. Cots available. Child-friendly menu for lunch & dinner. Kiddies dinner can go out on afternoon game drive. Small fridge available on request.

Camping Safaris: Escape to this wilderness; relax & celebrate nature and the small moments with us. Wake to the calls of the wild and enjoy picture perfect moments under the glorious African sky. 21 elevated air conditioned tents & outdoor shower.

Love the Lodge, great setting and the accommodation and food were all equally good. One improvement that I felt could be made was to the inside flaps of the canvas which didn't close (velcro was not holding them up) and the cold was getting in. Other than that, no complaints at all.

we left with a sense of feeling that the guides were competing for tips, one guide ,on numerous occasions had derogatory remarks about another, knowing full well we were consigned to a different vehicle the following day.no hot water on the first night.

We have had a lovely stay at Springboklodge. From the first minute until the last they took care of us. Peter was a great guide. The kitchen staff surprised my Mom and husband with a birthday cake.It was wanderfull
