Savage Wilderness Camp is located on the banks of the Tana River, at the foothills of Mount Kenya. It is an ideal venue for the whole family to relax, and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. At the same time it is Kenya’s number one provider of adventure sports.The camp offers a variety of accommodation to suit personal needs and budget. There are 21 beautiful nests that can accommodate up to 85 people, two bunk houses which can accommodate 60 people, and tents can also be provided for up to 100 people. Important Information
1: We do not allow Music systems as we prefer to hear the sound of nature.
2: No vehicles are permitted on the lawns; please use the upper car park.
3: We do not allow fires on the grass areas, please use the BBQ provided at each eating area.
4: Please do not wash any kitchen utensils in the toilet or shower areas, use the sinks provided at each eating area.
5: Do not throw rubbish into the river, please place all rubbish in the trash bins provided around the camp.
6: Please keep all food, secure from possible animals.
7: Please do not feed our dogs, they are fed daily. The dogs are very friendly but can get hyperactive.
8: Please take a shower before using the swimming pool, especially if you have been participating in one of our activities before hand.
9: We do not allow people to swim in the river at the front of the camp as we have spotted both Crocodile and Hippos over the last couple of years and we do not wish for you to be food for these animals.
10: Only use the smoking areas provided and dispose of your filter properly.
