Sandrivier Cottage is nestled in the breathtaking Koueveld region. Our valley is on a gravel road between R62 and N1. From us it is 28km through the Seweweekspoort and 31km to the tar road towards Laingsburg. Laingsburg (65km) is known for the flood route and Tannie Poppie se Roosterkoeke! Calitzdorp (58km) have a few wine-tasting options and also a restaurant or 2. The cottage comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and two living areas.

Each bedroom is comfortably decorated and contain 2 single beds easily converted to a king size bed for couples. There is a extra single bed in one of the three rooms. The second living room also host 3 single people. Sandrivier Cottage easily sleep up to 10 people. Bedding and towels included.

The bathrooms is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The cottage has Wi-Fi, a TV with Netflix and an indoor braai.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, box freezer, microwave and toaster. Coffee/tea/milk/sugar and rusks is provided.

Bikers, Mountain Bikers and hikers love this cottage and on arrival a freshly baked farm bread awaits them and a crate of wood. We can also provide the ingredients for a nice dinner and breakfast if they organize it well in advance. If available we sell our own lamb, steak, sausage, wood, baked bread and ice. Please put in order well in advance?

Seweweekspoort Peak is the highest peak (2325m above sea level) in the Western Cape and to start hiking up the mountain is not too far away from this cottage. Whatsapp both Frits and Jan Viljoen to organize it.

Seweweekspoort/Bosluiskloof Pass/Gamkapoort Dam/Tierkloof Dam/ Floriskraal Dam is a few of the nice things to do while visiting this beautifull Klein Swartberg Area.
