Roode Bloem Farm House is just 10 km from Graaff Reinet on the Middleburg road. Offering beautiful farm accommodation, sleeping 14 people, with the town’s amenities just 10 minutes’ drive away. This recently renovated 1929 farm house offers 4 bedrooms en-suite and one stunning bedroom with a separate private bathroom. All bedrooms have 2 single beds. A separate family flat that sleeps 4 completes this great accommodation offering. The accommodation boasts a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove/oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, cutlery, crockery and all the little things one needs to self-cater. Wood is available for wheelbarrow braais. Garage parking for 4 cars and lots of space to park and turn trailers and boats characterizes the yard. Shared areas include a quiet lounge, open stoep and formal dining room which compliments the farmhouse atmosphere. This is a convenient quiet place to spend a night or to make your base to explore the nearby Camdeboo National Park, Graaff Reinet, Nieu Bethesda and wider Karoo areas. Now air-conditioned!

Wedding Venues: Always a possibility for a DIY wedding! Both my sisters got married and had home based wedding receptions in the garden and house for 250 guests!

★★★★★ We travel with our dogs and young kids regularly and always search for kid-and-per-friendly accommodation. Rode Bloem fits the bill perfectly. The room was clean and well equipped. The garden is spacious for little legs to play. We had a wonderful braai under the trees and of course the beautiful Karoo stars never disappoints.

★★★★★ Second time here as family of four, two junior school boys. Utterly tranquil and safe. Rode bikes, watched the goats feeding, met the baby springbok and swam in the farm dam/pool. Room spacious with aircon; lovely linen and ample supplied to be self catering. Just off the highway makes it the best of stopovers. Highly recommended.
