Richard’s Camp is situated in a conservation area northwest of The Masai Mara Game Reserve. With riverine forest and short grass plains, this area is renowned for the most exceptional big game viewing. This is a traditional tented camp in true African safari style with modern amenities. Each individually decorated tent has either twin or double beds with extra beds available for families. Our solar system provides clean, silent power and ensures 24-hour light to all the tents. All the tents have an en-suite flush toilet and heated shower.
As the weather almost always permits, all meals are enjoyed outside under the Kenyan skies. On the more chilly evenings, we dine inside in front of a roaring fire. At the end of the day, guests can indulge in an open-air Victorian bath tucked away in the forest, surrounded by flickering candles and the sounds of the bush.
Richard’s Camp’s guides have an abundant and intimate knowledge of the Masai Mara, its wildlife and its people. There is a variety of activities from which to choose including escorted bush walks, day and night game drives, sundowners, full days out with delicious picnic lunches into the very heart of the Mara, bush dinners down by the hippo pools, visiting the rhinos and cultural visits to Maasai villages. All are tailor-made to ensure a rewarding safari to remember. Balloon safaris, scenic flights over the Masai Mara, and day trips to Lake Victoria can also be arranged.
