If you and your family need a quiet, peaceful breakaway then Red Earth farmhouse, 25km from Magaliesburg in North West is just the place for you. It's very much a homemade home. Red Earth is on the farm Buffelsfontein, 25 kilometers from Magaliesburg and 40 kilometers from Rustenburg. It lies in the Bankenveld, which is on the transition between the Bushveld and the Highveld.

Here life is simple and unwinds into peacefulness and tranquility. There are still small buck, baboons, porcupines, monkeys, rabbits and a variety of bird species on the farm.

Red Earth offers self catering accommodation for the family, sleeping 6 guests. There are 3 bedrooms, a large lounge, dining area, kitchen, pantry and a bathroom with a bath and shower.

The main bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has a double bed. The 3rd bedroom has a single bed and a futon. The kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery, crockery, toaster, fridge and stove. There is a braai facility on the stoep, we supply firewood. Children of all ages are welcome to stay at Red Earth.

Things to do include hiking into the kloof to find the cave and up the big mountain to view ancient stone circles. Bring your own bikes to cycle on the kilometers of dirt roads in the area. Swimming in the farm reservoir. Suntan and relax on the walls, enjoying the stunning view.

Children can interact with the chickens and rabbits we keep. Drawing materials and paper is available for them to use.
Please note - Access to the farm is not suitable for low-profile vehicles, but no 4X4 is required.
