Important Information

* Please leave all farm gates as you find them. If open, leave it open, if closed, close it again.
* Bring your own drinking water - our water is sourced from boreholes which has a strong sulphuric smell.
* The farm is situated mostly outside of cell phone range. We wish to keep it that way so that POD remains an immersive experience without outside intrusion. There is an area on the farm that you can drive to, to make phone calls and connect to the free Wi-Fi.
* Please do not leave any litter around, and take all your rubbish home with you. No cigarette butts to be thrown on the ground.
Do’s & Don’ts
Place of Dreams is located in the Karoo wilderness with vast amounts of space to enjoy many activities. If you love being outdoors and enjoy hiking, mountain biking or trail running, this is the ideal space for you!
1. Let’s start with the strict no no’s…
STRICTLY NO PETS AND/OR ANIMALS ARE PERMITTED AT POD
NO FIRES OR BRAAIS OUTSIDE OF DESIGNATED BRAAI AREAS
NO PARKING OUTSIDE OF DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS
NO CAMPING IN THE VELT!! ONLY IN DESIGNATED AREAS
2. Be lekker! We’re not a 5-star luxury resort
We have purposefully created accommodation and facilities to blend in with the natural habitat of the Karoo landscape. We thereby aim to offer a beautiful and authentic Karoo camping experience, that is somewhat rugged.
3. Please don’t take up all the space
We know it’s a 3700 hectare farm, but it’s not all camping ground.
Please note: BYO Campers are limited to a max of 15 – 20 square meters per campsite.
4. Be as flexible as the Karoo weather
Place of Dreams is an open-air event space and weather conditions may require that the organisers change performance timing and venues. This will be communicated if and when needed.
5. Pack in your bicycle!
To get to and from the different locations on the farm with ease, we encourage visitors to pack in their bicycles.
Shuttles will be driving between POD 1 & 2 to get people to and back from where the magic is happening. Unfortunately, you will not be permitted to drive your own cars as cars will be parked at the parking area. All vehicles will be forced to stop at the parking area.
Only pre-arranged vehicles will be allowed in the camping areas as these vehicles will be crew, transport, RV’s and Roof top tent cars.
Designated vehicles will shuttle all visitors between the parking and camping area.
Once you park you must gather all your camp gear and load it onto the shuttle so please be organised when packing.

6. Participate!
Our community is committed to a radically participatory ethic. We believe that transformative change whether in the individual or in society, can occur only through the medium of deeply personal participation. We achieve being through doing. 7. Self-Expression
Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of an individual. The individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered as a gift to others and in this spirit, the giver must respect the rights and liberties of the community and its vision. And visa versa the community respects the individual or collaborating groups contribution.
8. Communal Effort
Our community values creative co-operation and collaboration. We strive to produce and protect social networks, public spaces, works of art and methods of communication that support such actions furthering the values and vision of the POD TRUST.
