Phirima Game Ranch is an unspoilt piece of Africa nestled in the heart of the Kalahari in Botswana. Phirima is the Tswana word for ‘the place where the sun sets’, which is an accurate description of the spectacular sunsets that we experience in this part of the world. Phirima Game Ranch gives you the opportunity to experience Africa at its core, unspoilt and boundless. We have Camping Facilities, Self-Catering Homes and we also cater for the 4 x 4 Roof top Vehicles. Most of our accommodation over looks watering holes. The farm is entire run on Solar and Gas. Our Borehole water is perfect for consumption.
The farm is situated in the south-western part of Botswana, about 30 km from the southern boundary of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and about 80 km due south from Mmabuasehube. The farm boasts diverse scenery ranging from sandy dunes, grassy areas and random areas that are densely populated with beautiful trees. Various types of self-catering accommodation are offered.
What makes the farm even more charming is the opportunity to spot our bountiful game around every twist and turn. Phirima boasts a wide range of indigenous wild buck, ostriches, brown hyenas, jackals, baboons and honey badgers. We have also introduced many new species to increase our diversity, including white rhinoceros, giraffe, impala, waterbuck, zebra and warthog. Some of Botswana’s more exotic wildlife has been spotted on Phirima, from time to time; free-roaming lion, leopard and cheetah have dug their way into the sanctuary.
Our main activity on the farm is hunting, however we also promote game-viewing, especially during the off-hunting season. Apart from our bountiful game populations, we also have an abundance of birdlife.
