Palm Bay Resort is a self-catering resort offering accommodation with access to an outdoor pool, a private beach area, a day spa and a tennis court. Palm Bay Resort is nestled on Long Island, one of the iconic islands of the Great Barrier Reef. Located in our own secluded cove, Palm Bay Resort offers spacious Balinese inspired villas set in the rainforest with views to the Whitsunday passage and Coral Sea. The resort is accessible only via water transfer with Island Transfers from Airlie Beach, Shute Harbour or with an airport pick up from the Proserpine airport. Transfers are available directly from Hamilton Island Airport. Guests are meet on the beach directly from the Island Transfer boat and enjoy a personalised check in with a cool drink by the resort manager. As the only self-catering resort in the Whitsundays and offers guests a catering service to pre-order food prior to arrival. Guests enjoy a guest kitchen and dining area located off reception and overlooking the pool. Some of our guest rooms are beachfront while others have both garden and water views. After a day of kayaking, fishing, day tours to the Great Barrier Reef, or hiking one of the many island trails you can relax on your private balcony or enjoy a cocktail and pizza from the fully licensed bar. Our 23 unique accommodation villas and suites are ideal for couples or individuals and we can cater to groups of up to 60 people offering sole occupancy of the resort for events, weddings and corporate functions. Other facilities include the poolside dining area as well as our Palm Blue Day Spa, beach pavilion and lounge space, media room, tennis court, nature walks and kayaks. For the more adventurous, we can also help you organise Whitsunday activities and tours such as reef snorkelling, fishing charters and water-sports adventures. There is NO WIFI at the resort; however in certain areas of the resort there is very good reception.
