Penhill Farm Boutique Hotel offers guests beautiful units with gorgeous views of the surroundings. Built in 1840 by Christiaan Kloppers, Manor House was and is a magnificent example of Cape Dutch architecture and thatched with a four-pilaster Worcester-type gable with concave wings. Today, the fully renovated Manor House accommodates 8 people in 4 beautifully decorated bedrooms and three large bathrooms.
It has a sitting room, a large well-appointed traditional farmhouse kitchen with an agar, a spacious dining and living room and a private pool. The house is air-conditioned with Wi-Fi and a TV. The views from the Manor House are breathtaking and the house opens beautifully onto the lawns below.
Built from mud bricks, poplar beams and thatch, Pepper Tree Cottage has been refurbished honouring its historical significance and still has its old bakoond. The lovely unit can accommodate four people in two sleeper en-suite bedrooms. It has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and sitting room. It is air-conditioned and has a wood-burning stove, TV and Wi-Fi. With its own pool and wood fire hot tub in an enclosed garden that has magnificent views of the Naudesberg in the distance, the old homestead today is the oldest dwelling in the Nuy Valley.
The Old Fruit Barn has been lovingly converted into accommodation for four people and has two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, dining room and sitting room with a wood-burning stove. It is fully air-conditioned, with a TV and high-speed Wi-Fi, opening to a patio with magnificent views of the Riviersonderend Mountains and the private pool and wood-fire hot tub.
The West and East Grange building is a semi-detached double-storey accommodation that is perfect for small families and friends. Each unit sleeps four people in two double bedrooms, one on the first and the other upstairs, each with an en-suite bathroom. They have fully equipped kitchens, dining and sitting rooms with wood-burning stoves, TV and Wi-Fi and are fully air-conditioned. Both units have a private wood-fired hot tub and the Grange has magnificent views of the Riviersonderend mountains and the Nuy Valley in the distance.
