Nottingham Fishing Retreat is a beautiful lodge situated on the banks of the magnificent Mashilichokwe Dam, about 7 km of pristine water with prime bass and bream fishing.We offer fully catered accommodation in seven chalets, sleeping up to 21 guests in total. The chalets overlook the lovely dam and the lush-green lawns and gardens. The chalets have three twin beds in each and are equipped with air-conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, bar fridges and en-suite bathrooms. It has full DStv connection and unlimited Internet access. There is a lovely rock swimming pool just outside the entertainment area, as well as barbecue facilities.Our chefs will cook up some delicious meals in the open-plan kitchen, with the menu changing daily. Please supply all soft drinks and alcohol, the retreat has lots of ice on hand at no extra cost.The dam is surrounded by various large trees with rocky outcrops and mountainous scenery. It is also home to crocodiles, hippos and numerous bird life. We have a boat launching site and a jetty where you can moor your boat while staying at the retreat.We have a specialised Fly Camp that was built in 1984 as an entertainment area, where you can view the elephants and other animals feeding. After our oranges go to the juicing factory, the pulp is returned to the Fly Camp where we feed it to the animals.
