About Nibela Lake Lodge

Nibela Lake Lodge is situated in one of Africa's world heritage sites; it has a unique diversity of scenery, fauna and flora, and forms part of the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park Greater St Lucia.The 11 thatched chalets, cradled high up in the forest, are inter-connected by spectacular raised wooden walkways that lead to the main complex. Nibela also offers luxurious self-catering lodges built on stilts amongst the trees and the sand forest, tastefully decorated with wide wooden decks and offering panoramic views of the Tewate Wilderness area.Guides conduct informative and exciting trails, where guests will see small game, abundant birdlife and marvel at ancient fossils. Quad-biking or visits to the Mangwazi Caves can also be undertaken. Nibela Lake Lodge is conveniently located for tours to surrounding game reserves to view the Big 5, and nearby attractions include beautiful beaches, deep-sea fishing and diving on a number of reefs, mountain trails, cultural activities, and a number of historical sites.

Family friendly: Children can enjoy a games room with a pool table and darts. We have garden chess, a trampoline, a jungle gym, putt-putt and Zulu dancing on request. Fishing and lake cruises.

Nibble Lodge really impressed me with the great service and food menu. This was our third stay there and every time its been better and better. The staff are so friendly and always helpful and pleasant as if you were the most important customer in the resort. The food was great and the puddings were devine.I cannot recommend a better place than this to have a great stay. I can see why they are receiving all the awardsOh I almost Lucky and the quad bike rides a real thrill through the trails to the fossils.Thanks Sarel and Melanie

We had a fantastic time at Nibela for our anniversary. The honeymoon suite is beautiful and has a spectacular view. A special thanks to Sarel who explained to us where to find the very special Rosy-throated Longclaw and what a sighting it was! Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer!
