Ndole Bay Lodge is built on a fantastically forested slope ending in our own private beach. All rooms are built mostly from natural materials, with thatched roofs and breezy designs. Discreetly set amongst lush tropical gardens and towering fig trees, the lodge is virtually invisible to the outside world.
A massive central thatched area acts as a dining room, reading area and bar. The fully stocked bar serves a range of local and international beers, wines and spirits, while our signature Ndole cocktails make good times at the wooden bar unforgettable. Comfortable couches, a dart board and other games make festivities a must before retiring to the beach for a moonlit nightcap, and a large swimming pool near the bar area allows cool dips between serious relaxation.
A large wooden deck is situated right over the lake, providing a shaded recluse strewn with hammocks and sunbeds. Spend the whole day reading, sun tanning, swimming and snoozing. Steps off the deck lead straight into the crystal clear waters of the lake, so don’t forget your mask and snorkel.
Delicious freshly prepared meals are available from our kitchen, with an emphasis on local produce and fresh fish from the lake; Tanganyika fish is internationally regarded as being among the finest eating anywhere.
