Situated on the rocks overlooking the sea at the water’s edge, and set against the dramatic backdrop of the Kogelberg Mountains, it's easy to see why this beautiful holiday retreat is named Natanya - Hebrew for 'God's Gift'.
The lovely beach house can comfortably sleep 10 guests in five rooms, with three of the rooms opening onto private balconies and/or courtyards with uninterrupted sea and/or mountain views. Downstairs, the main en-suite bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed and enjoys a private seafront balcony. The open-plan bathroom consists of a Jacuzzi bath and a shower, with separate toilet. A second mountain-facing en-suite double bedroom opens onto a private courtyard with tranquil koi pond, and is furnished with a king-size bed or two three-quarter beds, whichever you require. This room also has a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Three rooms are located upstairs, one of which is an en-suite double room and opens onto a private spacious deck with stunning mountain and sea views. The remaining two rooms are simply but comfortably furnished with two three-quarter beds each. These rooms are served by the guest toilet downstairs. Towels and 100-percent cotton bed linen, pillows and duvets, as well as additional blankets and hot water bottles are provided.
The TV room has a comfortable built-in couch, a wood-burning fireplace and is equipped with DStv. The modern open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a large gas hob and stove, an additional electric oven, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and a large fridge-freezer. The adjoining utility room is equipped with a double kitchen sink, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble-dryer. On the mountain side, the kitchen opens through double French doors, onto an enclosed garden courtyard with a tinkling water feature as well as an outdoor dining table with an umbrella and a built-in braai area. On the opposite side, concertina sliding doors open onto the generous sea-facing deck which is furnished with a twelve-seater dining table where guests can enjoy sundowners or candlelit dinners. A new addition to our offering is the fire pit, situated on the lawn and overlooking the sea. This is the perfect spot to end off yet another day in paradise: with friends and family around a crackling fire under a starry sky - magical!
Natanya is serviced twice a week and, for your peace of mind, the house has an alarm system with armed response if needed. Ample parking is provided at the premises. Unfortunately, smoking and pets are not allowed - smokers are asked to make use of the ashtrays provided outside.
In season, Natanya’s guests can enjoy the treat of whale watching from the comfort of their bed, the jacuzzi bath or the shower, the lounge and dinner table. An abundance of indigenous bird life can be viewed in the garden and out to sea. With a permit, guests can gather mussels or dive for crayfish or enjoy some fishing from the rocks directly in front of the house. Swimmers will relish the chance to cool off with an exhilarating swim in the deep rock pool directly in front of the house, known as 'The Gulley'.
