About Namib Desert Lodge

Complementing the magnificence of a red sand sea, Namib Desert Lodge lies at the foot of ancient fossilised dunes. Make some space for wonder. A sunset or early morning drive through the red dunes exploring the sand masterpiece is breath-taking. Atop the ridge as the sand begins to glow deep rich sienna, a view of utter beauty is illuminated in gold, extending from the soft dunes around you to the green ribbon of riverine trees in the distance and the purple-blue mountains. Tolkien would be taken aback - and inspired, I'm sure, by such fantastical scenery! One of the Sossusvlei lodges, Namib D

We had a fantastic stay, everything was beautiful and the staff were lovely! If we ever return to the South, this will be my first and only stop!

If you want to go do some "luxury camping" on a budget then this is the place to go. Such an affordable way to travel around Namibia without having to set up the tent every night. The concept should be used by more lodges around the country. Beautiful lodge and camping ground with Oryx roaming freely all around. Very comfortable beds inside the tents, we were surprised to even find a safe inside... Read more

We arrived late ( it’s further than you think because of driving on gravel) and staff were happy to greet us. The sign to the ‘camping to go’ section could be bigger, as we missed it in the dark. Towels and linens were fresh and everything was available for cooking or campfire. Thanks so much, as it was a beautiful evening and we would love to come again. The view upon waking up the next morning... Read more

The accommodation was really nice. Beautiful pool and nice dining area. A bit too much of tour busses and big groups that make a lot of noise. The food was good but the price for the buffet is not worth it in my opinion. Good location to stay to drive to the dunes.

Unfortunately arrived a little late at the lodge, but was immediately greeted by a lodge official who showed us our rooms, explained the services, etc.Rooms very clean and ideal for stopover near Sossusvlei (we initially thought it might have been closer to Sos.). Beautiful surroundings and extremely helpful and professional staff!
