About Mount Elgon Hotel

Mount Elgon Hotel offers colonial grandeur with an oasis of peace, situated just outside of town, in the leafy suburb of Mbale.

There are a total of 32 en-suite guest rooms in different configurations. The Standard Rooms are located on the ground floor with double- or single beds, and all the other rooms are located on the first floor with double- or single beds. All the rooms come standard with mosquito nets, bottled water, Internet access, tea and coffee facilities, intercoms and Satellite TVs.

The restaurant is open from early mornings for breakfast to late in the evening for dinner. Local specialities, international cuisine, fusion food and pizzas are all part of our a-la-carte menu. Every week the restaurant sports a new little menu, with the freshest ingredients. There are also themed nights for barbecues by the swimming pool, to cooking in the garden.

During the swimming pool's opening time, the Pool Bar is a fully stocked bar with an easy going atmosphere and at night the ambiance changes to become more romantic. The Roots Bar is located next to reception and acts as a TV lounge, fully stocked and with comfortable seating.

Our garden is full of secluded places, intimate seating areas and a lot of greenery. There is a large swimming pool for adults and a small pool for children, with lots of recliners and umbrellas around it. Our spa offers beauty treatments as well as a sauna, a Turkish bath/steam bath, a Jacuzzi and a small small sitting area to enjoy some healthy snacks and juices.
