Montanus is a newly built home located on the Clarens Golf and Trout Estate in the picturesque town of Clarens. A popular tourist getaway destination, Clarens is the ideal town in which to relax over a weekend or for longer stays.
This upmarket home offers all the essential elements for a comfortable stay, sleeping up to eight people in four beautifully appointed spacious bedrooms. The one twin (twin beds can be made into a king bed if requested) and three double rooms each feature en-suite bathrooms, large built-in cupboards and dressing tables, with all linen and towels provided.
The house also comprises an open-plan living area with a lounge, dining room and conversation nook, as well as a cosy fireplace, essential for Clarens winters and cold evenings. There is also a full complement of DStv channels together with a large flat screen TV for all guests to enjoy. Leading out from two sliding doors, a patio complete with outdoor furniture and a built-in barbecue, lends itself to endless views over Clarens, the surrounding Rooiberg, and the distant Maluti Mountains of Lesotho.
The kitchen overlooks the living area, and is fully equipped with granite counters, an oven, glass top hob, fridge and freezer, microwave, and other appliances. From the kitchen, there is a scullery complete with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and washing up area.
The original nine-hole golf course has recently been developed and upgraded to an 18-hole course by developers, Pinnacle Point. The par 72 golf course has been designed and constructed by Golf Data, and all 18 holes meander along and across the tranquil river and its splendid series of trout dams and cascading waterfalls. The new Club House is well-appointed and offers wonderful mountain views.
Visitors to Clarens have a variety of activities to choose from, including white water rafting, horse riding, quad biking, hiking, tennis, squash, trout fishing, art courses, golf, abseiling, mountain trails, and nature reserves which also boast bushman paintings.
